Dr Eleanor Drummond is an Associate Professor of Neuroscience and the Bluesand Principal Research Fellow at the Brain & Mind Centre, University of Sydney. She obtained her PhD from the University of Western Australia in 2012.
Her research focuses on understanding the cause of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, with the long-term goal of identifying new drug targets and diagnostic biomarkers. She has been awarded multiple national and international awards for her research, including the Early Career Achievement Award from the Alzheimer’s Association (USA) in 2021 and the Mid-Career Achievement Award from the Australian Dementia Network in 2024. Her research has been supported by TDM Foundation, Bluesand Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, Rainwater Charitable Foundation, NIH, and the Kennards Hire Foundation.
